G. K. Chesterton is one of my favorite authors of all. He wrote fiction and non-fiction but he trumps only in non-fiction. I don't know if he's
definitely my favorite but for now, we'll give him that honor. Other favorite fiction authors are Agatha Christie, Goethe, Dante, Brom Stoker, Jane Austen,
Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allen Poe, Baroness Orczy, Shakespeare, C. S. Forester, Daniel Defoe, Anthony Hope, Alexander Dumas, Matthias Claudius, and
Arthur Conan Doyle.
There is a great deal of early literature of whose authors may or may not be known. Such of these include....just about all Old English poetry, the
Nibelungenlied, the Romance of Tristan and Iseult, the Mabinogian, Parzival, the letters of Abelard and Heloise, the Song of Roland, Heimskringla, Homer's
the Iliad, Quintus of Smyrna's the Fall of Troy, and Livy's the War with Hannibal.
Now, for just awesome non-fiction, we must turn to Louis XI by Kendall, the complete works of E. A. Wallis Budge, The Real Story of the Pirate by A. Hyatt
Verrill, The History of Torture by Daniel P. Mannix, Tactics and the Experience of Battle in the Age of Napoleon by Rory Muir, The Forest in Folklore and
Mythology by Alexander Porteous.
Also, in a category unknown I put The Malleus Maleficarum by Summers and The Discoverie of Witchcraft by Scot., and The Black Pullet (anon.)
Of course, I read comics too. Dilbert, Foxtrot, and Calvin and Hobbes are my favorites :-D

Oh, wow. Every week for two years? Bless her heart. You're mom sounds like a wonderful lady. ^_^ I may not be donatng at the moment, due to my body needs its rest and all, but that feeling of knowing I am helping someone in need. It's like a breath of fresh air. What I give is benefiting a young child, and young man or woman, even an elderly lady, anyone out there in need of help.
I have come across many MJ posters, even a limited Thriller jacket at Hot Topic. $65 for that baby. Looks incredible and has been something of which had been but a dream since childhood to get. It was a limited piece for the tour, but even so. Something that would be treasured. Maybe one day I can snag one, if not, oh well. While clothing and other merchandise is all well and good, it's the memories which hold much more value than a collectible item.
Thriller 25 has been on my to get list for quite some time, hopefully that will change lol. My mom wants two copies, one for us to enjoy and the other as a keepsake. Can you tell it's in her top MJ albums? ^_~ Reminds me of when we had gone on the search for the limited Invincible covers. Memories... *sigh*
I hope you have a great time visiting your relatives. And I will be sure to let you know of my TII experience. Take care my dear, and see you soon.
Much love and lots of hugs,
~Maudie

Just this afternoon, I went to the mall and got the new Entertainment Weekly mag and a replica pair of Michael's sunglasses. Nifty and cool just the same! And with the movie coming out in theaters, that is next of my list. And the DVD when it comes along, quite possibly the soundtrack, as well. I like the cover art and, knowing me, I'll pick it up eventually. Not quite sure, since Thriller 25 is not in my collection yet... we'll see.

YouTube is a good way to get a good Ville fix, yes indeed. ^_^
With the way things are going for the moment, whatever is affordable for both Michael Jackson and HIM related stuff will be what I buy. Probably more Michael than anyone else, but still. It's all good.
